There are no fixed departure dates for our tours and we can tailor the tour to your interests and time available. The following is an 8 day tour programme taking in most of the main sites of interest. Tour Prices
Day 1: Arrival in Tbilisi.
Meet at the airport. Transfer to hotel.
No meals.
Day 2: Tbilisi city tour.
A full-day city tour of Tbilisi with visits to the Old Town, Metekhi church 12thC., Abanotubani, the area famous for the sulphur baths with Asian style buildings, and 19thC Georgian houses. We will visit the citadel of Narikala, main fortress of Tbilisi, where from we have panoramic views of the city. Visit the Sioni Cathedral 11thC. and Anchiskhati church 6thC. Walking through some narrow streets, along which some carpet and souvenir shops are situated. Visit Georgian State Museum and Art Museum. Walk on Rustaveli Avenue. At the end of the tour we'll visit Mtatsminda Pantheon and a church 19thC.

Day 3: Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Kazbegi - Gudauri.
We start our trip by driving to Mtskheta. Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia is situated 20km from Tbilisi. Scientists date the town back to the 2nd millennium BC. Mtskheta was the capital of Georgian Kingdom of Iberia during 500BC - 500AD. Here Georgians accepted Christianity in the beginning of 4thC. The town and its architectural monuments are included in the World's Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. Visit Jvari Monastery (6thC.) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11thC). We continue driving along the river Aragvi Valley and Georgian Military Highway. On the road stop at Ananuri architectural complex (16th -17thC). Drive to Kazbegi, 1700m. Explore the area and walk up to Gergeti Sameba Church, beautifully situated on the hill. Enjoy wonderful views of the Caucasian Mountains, including Mount Kazbek, 5047m, one of the six 5000 m. peaks in the Caucasus. According to the legend, Prometheus was chained on the Mount Kazbek . Drive to Gudauri ski resort. Overnight at the hotel. Breakfast and dinner included.
Day 4: Gudauri – Gori – Uplistsikhe - Kutaisi.
Visit Gori, a historical town. Today the town is mainly known for its huge Fortress and as a birthplace of J. Stalin. We'll visit Stalin's museum. Then we cross the city to view the central square of the town, where a big monument of Stalin still commands the area. Drive to Uplistsikhe cave town dated to 7thC BC. Here we find a big hall for pagan rituals and some living rooms as well as a church of the 9thC. Before we continue driving to Kutaisi if time permits visit Ateni Sioni church (7thC.). Overnight in Kutaisi at a private house. Breakfast included.
Day 5: Kutaisi - Tbilisi.
Kutaisi, dated back to the Argonauts times (13th -12thC B.C), was the capital of old Colchida and later of Western Georgia. Visit Bagrati cathedral (11thC,) and Gelati monastery, founded in the 12thC by the most famous Georgian King David the IV, the Builder (1073 – 1125). Here he founded an academy and monastery, which became the foremost centre of education in Georgia. The unique murals of saints and Georgian monarchs are inside the main Virgin Cathedral. These sites are included in the World's Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. On the way to Tbilisi visit Ubisi church (9thC.). Return to Tbilisi. Hotel. Breakfast included.
Day 6: Tbilisi – Gareji – Telavi. A trip to Kakheti province. We explore David Gareji Monastery. The Monastery is situated in Gareji semi-desert, 75km southeast from Tbilisi. Walk up to Udabno Monastery to explore unique frescos of the 8th-13thC. and cave architecture. On the way to Telavi visit Tsinandali - the house museum of Chavchavadze noble family of the 19thC. Visit Tsinandali Winery, where you will have the opportunity to taste some of the sorts of Georgian wines. Overnight in Telavi at a private house.
Breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner included.
Day 7: Telavi - Tbilisi.
Kakheti province, in the eastern Georgia is a land of old churches in a green and pleasant wine growing countryside. Excursion to Alaverdi Cathedral (11thC.) the highest church in Georgia. From Alaverdi continue driving to Ikalto Academy (12thC.). On the way back to Telavi drive to New Shuamta (16thC.). In Telavi visit king Erekle II palace and museum. If time permits we will have a short visit to Ninotsminda church (6thC). Arrive to Tbilisi. Hotel.
Breakfast included.
Day 8: Departure.
Transfer to the airport. End of the tour.

- 4 nights in Tbilisi at a middle class (3 star) comfortable hotel "Varazi" or "Vere Palace" or similar. - 1 night in Gudauri at a 3star "Hotel Cross Pass".
