The Ngorongoro Serena Lodge is built into the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater its natural stonework naturally blended into the surrounding bush and woodland. It is the ideal base to visit the Crater or neighbouring Olduvai Gorge "the cradle of mankind". Most private rooms have terraces overlooking the crater itself.

  
There are 75 rooms. Picnic lunches are provided for day safaris based at the lodge or elegant luncheons are served upon special request. Masaai dancing and other cultural events are put on on most evenings.
