King Boris built a lodge in the forests north of the Rila mountains - the location was called Borovets (pines). In the post war, communist, period the area was developed as a prime ski and health resort based on the Samokov Hotel - one of Bulgaria's most prestigious hotels. The hotel is situated amidst dense pine forests in the heart of the Borovets resort, just one hour's drive away from Sofia and 100 meters from the Yastrebets gondola lift.

There are four suites and 305 confortable rooms with satellite TV; two-level Maritsa Restaurant, Panorama Restaurant, lounge bar and night club with floor show. The ideal venue for conventions, seminars and business meetings - the hotel has the 600 seat Bulgaria Congress Hall, 6 smaller halls seating 10 to 100 people, equipped with modern technical facilities. The hotel also contains a shopping center, a medical center, hairdresser and beauty salon and a ski hire and ski school section.

Health and fitness packages
These may be added to any of our programmes based at the hotel. They include a medical health check and then a programme of hydrotherpy, saunas, use of the fitness center, massages and solarium. Prices and packages.
