There is no such thing as a Gas Hole. This feature - one of many on the East Face - is probably just a wind erosion feature. It would make for an excellent bivvy. The next pitch traverses out onto the skyline slab and follows it to a ledge below a steep thin wall. On the first ascent Andrew Wielochowski traversed along the ledge, untied and continued traversing to try and find an easier alternative to the thin wall. None was found but maybe there is room for a high level girdle traverse of Poi! Climber here is Ron Corkhill on the first ascent.
